Virtual Clinic Teletherapy Services

We offer virtual services for children 3 to 12 years old! OT Time was born out of the increased use of virtual therapy platforms to service children who were not able to physically access occupational therapy services during the COVID-19 pandemic. We realized that with the use of technology we are able to connect with children in need of services across the state who may not have easy physical access to a qualified therapist.

We work on sensory processing, fine motor, and daily living skills in your home through our secure, HIPPA compliant, virtual platform. If you believe that your child is in need of occupational therapy services and do not have access to a local therapist, don’t have health insurance, or simply want home-based services to avoid the chaos and stress of getting your child to a clinic, we can help! Talk to your child’s pediatrician to get a referral for occupational therapy services or contact us for more information!

Parent Coaching

Children do best when given consistency. No matter how amazing your therapist may be, your child will thrive most when given consistent practice to work on life skills. In order to do that, children need to work on the skills daily. And the matter of the fact is, no matter what kind of therapy provider you get, no therapy occurs every day. YOU know your child best and YOU are the most consistent presence in their life, so we work on training you to help build the confidence needed to best support your child outside of therapy sessions.

We also offer parent coaching sessions to discuss how you can best support your child’s needs without needing direct therapy. Contact us for a FREE consultation to see if our coaching services are right for your needs. There is absolutely NO obligation.

We also have periodic virtual parent classes where you can learn about specific topics from our knowledgeable OT!

Feeding Therapy

Eating is the most complex multi-sensory integrative task that we do as humans, which means that there are many ways for something to go awry. Our therapist is trained in both the CAN-EAT Approach© and the SOS Approach to Feeding® which are both evidence based feeding programs designed to empower picky eaters and problem feeders with positive experiences and exposures to a variety of foods. Our focus with feeding therapy is not a quick fix “Band Aid,” but rather a child centered approach that incorporates your child’s social, psychological, sensory, physical, and oral motor skills into one of the most complex tasks that we do each and every day! We also train parents and caregivers in how to best support your picky eater or problem feeder for less stressful meal times and more successful, generalized feeding skills.

Handwriting Help

If your child is struggling with handwriting skills, we can help! We work with children ages 5-10 years old to work on the core skills required for handwriting. Skills like shoulder, arm, and hand strengthening and visual motor skills are addressed to help your child improve their handwriting skills. We can also show you and your child adaptations for handwriting (such as using adapted paper) to help increase legibility!

The OT Time difference

Therapy with no strings attached

If you’ve ever tried to navigate the world of therapy through an insurance company, you know that there are often barriers to receiving services. Waiting for insurance authorizations, long wait lists to receive services through an “in-network” provider, and insurance denials can all hinder your ability to get the timely services that are often crucial to your child’s development. For those who don’t have insurance (or are tired of the barriers put in place by insurance companies), we offer a more affordable option than private pay at most in-person clinics. Since we don’t have a physical clinic to manage and pay for, we can offer our services at a lower private pay price than most larger in-person clinics. We’ve tried to remove the insurance hurdles in an effort to offer you therapy without all of the strings attached so you can begin working on the skills your child needs, NOT what your insurance company dictates.

You may be able to use HSA/health care FSA funds to pay for your child’s occupational therapy services (check with your HSA/FSA provider).

*Please note that a referral from your pediatrician is required in order to receive our direct therapy services (assessment or treatment). A prescription is NOT needed for a consultation, parent coaching sessions, or parent training classes.

**OT Time LLC- Cancellation Policy for Private Pay Clients**

In order to best serve our clients and for our clients to make progress on their goal areas, consistent participation and attendance at scheduled sessions is important. We will make every effort to reschedule missed sessions when possible (depending on scheduling availability), however to help us best service all of our clients we require that you notify your therapist of the need to cancel at least 24 hours prior to your scheduled session time.

We fully understand that emergencies and illnesses can pop up unexpectedly, therefore clients and families are allowed 2 late cancellations (less than 24 hours notice) per 8 week period. On the third occasion of a late cancellation within an 8 week period there will be a fee of $45 (for 60 minute sessions) or $25 (for 30 minute sessions) charged to your account . Any no shows (when you do not arrive for your appointment (either by logging on online for virtual clients or being at home for in-person clients) within 10 minutes of your scheduled start time, will be charged the full price of the scheduled session and the sessions will not be made up. If you show up to your appointment within 10 minutes of the start time, the session may occur, however the missed time will not be made up. The balance of any no show/late cancellation fees will need to be paid in full prior to resuming services.

The best way to avoid frequently missed sessions (and the delays that they cause in goal/skill progress) is to communicate regularly with your therapist in order to discuss changes in schedules and other scheduling conflicts based on family and therapist needs.
